Following my journey in sustainable agriculture and web development
Spring Growth
Life continues to unfold in a mysterious and beautiful way. I am starting to finally get what feels like a grip on javascript, I performed my first ever paid gig at the Bound By Fate Brewery with my band My Brothers Lunch Band, I'm continuing to learn French, my personal garden is beginning to look abundant and my love is excelling in her work as well.
There is constant pressure to put in more work on the farm but there is also a strong pull for me to focus on my own studies. After listening to developers stories in the freeCodeCamp podcast I feel all charged up, like it is possible for me to succeed within the webdev world. It is fascinating and inspiring.
Continuing My Tech Journey...
I have been trying to connect my website to my Vultr cloud server but continue to have problems. Derek Sivers inspired me to become more tech independent. I followed his steps to create a cloud server and connect it to my personal website. I've tried to set up the website but seem to fail every time, so I've reverted back to my static webpage.
I would really like to use a cloud server so I can integrate MySQL and PHP into my website. Then people would be able to leave comments on my blogs and create usernames. This information would be very useful in the future when I create online courses and implement data analytics.
Meanwhile in the Garden...
In the meantime, the vegetables are growing! Every day we get 3 more minutes of sunlight, and it was 70 degrees yesterday. We replaced our high tunnel plastic after it ripped off a few days ago. We harvested 50 pounds of spinach yesterday and hardly dented our patch.

Il est très important pour moi d'apprendre les structures de données et les algorithmes.
I am starting to learn PHP and MySQL. I would like to have a database so people can leave comments on my website. Also, it would be nice to eventually give peers the ability to create usernames to access and share information within my site.
From Soil to Code: Starting My Tech Journey
Today I created my personal website. I am working through the freeCodeCamp curriculum and getting inspired about the potential of web development. This is a new world I am opening up to.
I have been farming and gardening for 10 years now. I absolutely love working with the soil to grow high quality food for my community.
Founders Podcast
I have recently discovered the Founders podcast. This podcast is hosted by David Senra. He reads incredible biographies and autobiographies then discusses key points in the books.
Some influential episodes that I have been inspired by include the ones on Walt Disney, James Dyson and Ben Franklin. It is amazing how much struggle these individuals have gone through to bring great value to others.
